Hi

Can anyone tell me what is involved in transfering ownership of a car in the US. What does the title document and does it have to be signed by the seller and buyer.

I have bought a car in the US and am shipping it to UK.

What state? In Georgia, the title is signed over to the buyer, who then mails it in to the State. The State then issues a new title. Bank liens are recorded on the title.

Sorry did not think of that its california. Id the car is being exported does that make a difference.
