Additional info- Pete has a set of 4, 16x7 and 16x8"s with tires- He's asking 400 plus shipping from Dayton, OH. He will not seperate the pair- will only go as a set of 4- sorry if this misled you.

Whats the going rate? I have two sets that are supporting a huge work table in my garage. If the price moves to a level where its worth taking the whole contraptions apart I would do it.

I think we discussed price previously in the thread.

Absurd $$$$ for a mint set that would make a concours guy cry, but dirt cheap for garden variety wheels with normal amounts if curb rash.

Yea I inquired at a well known wheel place in the LA area about a set of 9X16 pair of Fuchs. I even offered all 8 design 90's in trade and they said NO. Not just NO but I wasent even in the ball park. maybe in 30 years if I am still kicking the price will rally to the point where its worth taking the entire workshop apart to sell the wheels. Of course a screw or a bolt could fall down in there and force me to do it before then.

Just a little bump to see if anyone has any additional leads. Currently I find just 1 single 16x8 at E-Bay. A couple helpful PM's have come my way, but nothing has panned out.

Come on now! You know the D90 is the most hated Porsche Wheel for our cars. I will help turn those unloved wheels into cash, and you will be helping me with my autocross program!

Thanks for the bump..!

Yea - I've got a set - 2-8Jx16 ET52.3 and 2 6Jx16... They are in pretty good shape (just a bit dirty - the dirt is free ) They came with Jen's '89 964 as spare rims - so I've never run them (the dirt was from the PO )

Let me know if these are what you need, OK??

Best to you!

John

Hey BGL..

Dang it - I am so sorry!!! Let me check the PMs, OK????

In the meantime - what I was going to post....

- if you can PM me your mailing address where you can have Fedex Ground deliver them - I'll send them off tomorrow. When you get them - pop me a check or Paypal to cover shipping plus whatever you think they are worth to you. Heck, I'll even try to clean them up for you a bit!!!

Yea - it's open ended on price, based on what you think they are worth (not me), as right now they are sitting in my garage - not mounted, and frankly - I'd like to see a Rennlister get some use out of them....

If that sounds OK to you - pop me a PM with your address, and I'll PM you back with a tracking number when they go out, OK?

Best to you,

John

BGL, I just found a set of D90's in my basement. If you still need them, let me know.

Thanks Colin...

Looks like John D. has a pair of 8's headed my way. Assuming FedEx does not lose them, I should be good to go.

Just a note to publicly thank John D., our Rennlist site Admin for making available a pair of very nice D90 16x8 wheels.

John and I have never met, and prior to my plea for a set of 16x8's, I don't think we have ever even participate in the same thread.

But John very kindly offered up an unused pair of wheels, and before I knew it, he offered to ship them to me, with him paying the upfront shipping cost. All he asked was that, when I get them, if they meet my needs, just send him what I thought they are worth, plus shipping!

The wheels arrived yesterday, and appear to be in very nice condition.

What can I say, other than THANK YOU.

Hopefully someday, I will be in a position to also help out a fellow Rennlister in the same way that John was able to help me out.

Best Regards,

Brian Leduc (BGL)

Nice post. Yes it is typical of what I've seen here over the last year. An amazing place with amazing people!

Brian...are you a Rennlist member? (hint)

Yes, John's gracious assistance has shamed me into finally signing up. But for some reason, I can not get to the "membership" page linked at the top here (I get a "page not available" error, and have for a couple weeks).

I e-mailed the admin folks to see whats up with that.

Rest assured this grievous oversight will soon be addressed!
