Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tires
I've just installed a set of Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tires for track day use only. Sizes are 225F & 255R on a 1990 C2 Cab with H&R coilovers & swaybars.
Does anyone have advice about hot tire pressures? I was running Kumhos and got BAD advice from the Kumho rep so though I'd go to the Rennlist for a better answer on the Pirellis.
Thanks,
-Richard Pattie

Pirelli says 2 to 2.6 bar hot . Porsche says (17 inch ) 2.5 bar or 36 psi . I use 32 psi hot on semi slicks ( not Pirelli ) , so there's broad consensus on the range . Usual trick is to compare lap times to home in on whats best for you.

If you don't have a pyrometer, I'd suggest you start at 28 psi cold front and rear and see where you end up. A good rule of thumb is to aim for 6-9 psi increase from cold to hot. If you gain 10 or more psi, you're starting too low; gain 5 or less, then you need to bring it down. Adjust cold numbers in 2 psi increments. Once you're in the range, you start looking at laptimes as Oldtimer suggests.
Would love to hear impressions on this tire.

Richard,
I had the P Corsa 205 and 255 on my RS-92.
On the track:
If I remember right I went out with about 1.8-2.0 Bar. Drove it easy to warm the tires and get the pressure up. I think I ended up with 2.3-2.5 hot.
On the road:
Go with standard Porsche pressure!

I run 225/265 nn a C4 with 2.2 bars front and max 2.4 rear when warm.. Last DE I ran 2.3 on the rear and I think it is better than 2.4 bar. Car gets more neutral - less oversteer. I have changed the rear swaybar to 21mm C2.
