Default Help identifying a wire.

I have found a disconnected white female connector with a solid brown and solid black wire feeding it. It is in the luggage compartment on the drivers side(LHD)very near the hood shock. Does anyone know what this is for, if anything? Or what I would connect it to? TIA.

It's a guess, Roy, without going out to look, but it sounds like the connector for the hood/bonnet light above the fusebox. Is that light working?

Come to think of it - that's the other side, isn't it?

Did the connector have a colored dot on it? I recently got into a 964 and was looking things over and found several connectors that were diconnected. I reconnected the one that I found a female match for with the same colored dot. On the drivers side I still have a connector with a brown dot not attached to anything.
