What should a standard battery connection look like?

The pic you attached in the first post has the standard positive terminal on the right.
Its basically two cables joined to a single battery terminal connector.
The two cables then disappear under the fuel tank and connect directly to the bottom of the fuse box to provide switched and unswitched 12v power.
