I don't think you fully understand the 964 experience Phil.

You're not supposed to buy a new one each time you run out of petrol you know!

You can have mine for £25K.

I'm not using mine before tea-time, will you be selling this one before then?

£25k? That's a lot when you add in the running costs!

The MG I'm getting has been delayed so I need another car, and I'd rather have a 964 than anything else.

Er - didn't you buy the last one for that reason?

Piece of advice - this time, don't sell your interim 964 UNTIL you get the MG!

Phil,
I looked at around 10 cars before I bought mine, the next car on my list to view after the one I bought can be seen at www.potrek.co.uk The car is somewhere south of the M4 and looks pretty good, the owner is selling to travel abroad.

Hope this helps, I ended up buying a 59k 3 owner 1990 C2 in Marine Blue,
Cheers,
Kevin.

Er, yes and I sold it when the MG was meant to be arriving - but it didn't

Thanks for this Kevin. Looks a good car (despite the colour!) but more than I want to pay - that's top money for a 1990...

Cheers

Phil,
I take your point on price, I was looking for a long term keeper and near concours car and was therefore looking at the top of the market although I also saw some quite scruffy cars at that price level.

I have been looking at the Trader etc. for some time now and there are plenty of 964s out there which are not selling so I am sure you will find something-keep us posted,
Cheers,
Kevin.
PS Your guide was invaluable, the guy who sold me the car seemed to think I was some sort of guru on the 964!

Yes Phil, I fully expect you to make as much money on this next '964 for 3 weeks' as you made on the last one...it wouldn't make much sense to pay top money...you can have mine for £14K, but you would have to keep the revs under 5000rpm for 2000 miles and pay my bill at 9M.

Kevin

Glad you found the guide useful. Now you've bought a car you need to buy Adrian's book to help you maintain it!

I've been looking for the last few days, but keep finding nasty cars or overpriced ones. Must be all that good publicity the 964 is getting from certain quarters
