Default what a difference a little sanding makes....

I love my Targa, but one thing I never liked was the lack of contrast: stone-grey metallic paint with a matte black Targa bar.
It was just too dull. I went so far as to secure a Targa bar in brushed aluminum from a 1974 model, but never got around installing it.

And then I noticed a small chip the paint on the (black) Targa logo and saw silver below there.
I started to (very carefully) sand of the top layer of the logo and finally it's much more to my liking.
I never thought that a little "bling" would change the appearance of the car that much

just in case someone wants to do the same:
I did not use sandpaper, but "abrasive buffing/polishing wheels" on a dremel
Amazon Amazon
They are hard enough to take off the paint, but soft enough to not scratch the metal underneath
