SELLER BANNED ???
Can anyone give me info on a forum I found on here with a user named CaliCarGuy on a black 964 with the vin WP0AB2963LS450493 ?
I sell a lot of cars on consignment here at my dealership, normally I don't sell 964's but this guy sent it to me as a request to sell privately rather then list on bring a trailer so I did. And some user named Greeco Maximus just blasted me for it, and clearly I am over 1200 miles away from where he previously saw the car listed. But this POS is making it seem like I knew all the details. It seems like a good car, it leaks oil and had some bad brakes but I replaced the brakes in the rear (due to a a lip that the rotors had), detailed the car inside and out and photographed it in a good setting while disclosing all issues my mechanics found on the car. Including a small door ding. and now he this guy is blasting me. Not sure what to do here besides remove the listing, I care more about my integrity amongst the porsche community rather than a few dollars on one car.

Very confused. Are you saying that someone consigned a car with you to be advertised, which you never put eyes on and someone is unhappy with the condition of the car?

Apologies for the confusion, hopefully this clears that up. I have the car here in my possession and I had listed it on a few sites. Someone has accused me of being a liar and said car was a scam and to not buy the car from me. And posted a link to a post on rennlist where the original seller was banned. Personally I think this kids a liar and upset that he was beaten to the punch but I’m hoping someone can provide more information.

Well, it's the interwebs...stuff comes out sometimes. Regardless of if it's a legitimate warning of a jealous person who missed out on a deal - the question is out there now. Some buyers really lean on previous owner information and having an owner banned on a prominent forum will bring a few questions. I'd just be prepared to anwser those inquiries.
