Aero Mirror installation HELP!!!
Can someone please help me with the wire connection on Aero Mirrors. I downloaded Phil's DIY article on John's site but that specific part of the install is not legible.

Thanks Ruairidh, I actually just finished installing both mirrors. What really stumped me was wiring the driver's side. I Had 7 wires instead of 6. But with a little bit of experimenting with mini jumper cables, all is well.
Sorry Howard, it's reserved for "snowpoet"

Peter, next time you're in a quandry such as this...email me, I have a CAD drawing of the wiring schematic and PICS of MY install.

Good to hear you figured it out, sometimes that's all it takes is a little mechanical, and electrical engenuity.

Howard, I have a OBC that came standard with the Tip, thus the different colors on the driver's side. Some of the extra wires are for the external temp sensor build into the mirror housing.

I dont know what this fuss about electric mirrors are all about?
My 993 Conversion has a bundle of birdwire folded up inside and the mirror Sitka glued to it. Works FINE!
(bought it like that and fell for the electric switches installed
DUH!
Cant afford the new ones, so I am going tohack another make, replace the awesome birdwire/infinitely adjustable OEM mod.
Not electrically minded, but I have friends I havenot used before ! :~)
The ones I want to hack only have three wires, and I can only get them to move in one axis when using a battery alone. (Car is in for respray). So does the 911 Elephant ears I have.

Pieta, PM me your email address, I actually have the doors off my 964 right now and am swapping the mirrors over to a smaller/lightweight/manual version...my doors have 5 wires and the aero mirrors have six...I do recall you take the red and white wires from the aero mirrors and pigtail them together and they connect to the red wire w/white stripe from the door. From there, most of the colors match up (blue to blue w/stripe...and so on).
Will email you some pics and take newer pics if needed as everything is a bit more accessible now that I have the mirrors completely off.
Everyone else: NO, my aero mirrors are NOT for sale!
