Rob,

I was going to give you a call, but am a bit 'up to here' just now - just back from the Isle of Man.

How's it going with the car problems/assesment/repairs?

PM me, or give me a call if you'd rather not tell the world just yet...

Hi John

All's fine with the car; front end is fine. Cost me £60 at the local garage to get everything back into shape, although I noticed that my smile still isn't quite straight...

Drivers side shark's fin is ready to go back on, but I'm going to armourfend it first.

I'm leaving the bumper PU repair until after the 'ring...

As for the 3 dents in the engine cover, I had these looked at by Dentmaster (at Sutton Coldfield OPC/PCGB event) and they can't get to them. Bu**er. Either a new (used) lid, or a repair/paint.

Everything else all OK, although new front tyres will be needed before long (definitely before the 'ring) and I have a funny feeling about my dampers...the ride feels somewhat bouncy, like the dampers are not damping...

I'm contemplating a set of dampers, a full 4 wheel alignment and a set of front wishbone bushes as my next expenditure...just don't know if I'll get time to do it before Germany. (I am tempted by a set of Leda adjustable dampers though...)

Finally, the worst outcome from Wales is that my driving confidence has taken a battering. I know what you meant at CC now, when you said I was cornering like I'd never spun a 911...I just don't feel smooth anymore...

Blind crests are particularly unnerving (and we have far too many in Derbyshire...they don't call it the Peak District for nothing )

Kevin, are you saying that Leda can now do corner balancing & 4 wheel alignment...if they do, then being able to do everything at one place would make a big (positive) difference...

Yes Rob,

went down there Friday and had a gander, 964 would be a new experience to them, but I think they'd be more than up to it.
I went away feeling pretty confident. But have to finance my hols first :-(((

PM me and I'll fill you in with more details.

Hi John,

Sorry, but will be elsewhere on family business.
Must admit your place looks good though, enjoy yourselves and maybe we'll catch up sometime through the year.
