Nice leather work. The factory offered this as an option and the 993TTS all had these parts covered in leather standard.
I would expect for the money they would be leaether but the ones I saw appeared to be painted. I agree with Scott on the SEM products I use them all the time on plastic. Very thin coats, flashes off quickly and is quite durable. Just don't use a solvent on it.

I used spray dye for some sun visors from my late 60's Ford. They were a horrid, horrid dirty 'putty' colour originally. I wanted black to match my retrimmed leather interior:

Much nicer!
So you can get a good finish using relatively cheap products with a bit of effort. I've no doubt Singer are using something more expensive that what was in that spray can.
