Default 3.6 Turbo Wheels

My dad would like to find some 3.6 Turbo (or similar wheels) for his 93 widebody...if anyone has any thoughts or has a set to sell, please let me know.

Sorry to borrow the picture from a fellow Renner..but this is the photo that got him hooked. It might also be the fact that his car is the same color and everything.

I can think of two options:

RS Cup Design from FVD USA (Rennlist sponsor )

or, RH 3.6 Turbo-Style 18" Three Piece Wheel from Wheel Enhancement.

He might also look at the Kinesis Supercup wheels. Design is similar but the spokes are slightly dished. I have been very happy with mine.

Targatime,

I'm flattered that a picture of my wheels got your dad hooked on the turbo 3,6 Speedlines. A fellow rennlister - GeorgeK - has a couple of used original wheels/sets for sale. Check the 964 turbo forum on a recent thread for details.

Best regards

Thanks Doug! She's my baby. Now that it has the SoK motor, I'll probably never sell her since she is no longer a sheep in wolf's clothing Looks like you're a HP junkie too. No shortage of ponies in your household! Very cool! Incidentally, the tow rig for my RSA is a Harley F150 (basically a 4 door Lightning) Nothing beats pressurization

Jay,

great looking car indeed - could you post some details/info of your car? BTW what color code/description is that?

Best regards

I second the vote to consider the kinesis:

ps - I need to update the pic now that I have the spacers and tires sorted out. It was a custom job, based on the widebody kit. I'm now running the new GT2 set-up for tires: new Pilot Sport2's 235/40/18 in fromt and 315/30/18 in the rear!

Emilios,
It's kind of an interesting car. The previous owner really wanted a widebody, normally aspirated, 2 wheel drive 964. Since Porsche never produced one, he spent a bundle converting this car using all steel & factory parts. I bought it in '01 with 41,000 miles on it. Early last year, a friend of mine with an SoK RS America decided to move to California & since his RSA would never pass emissions out there, we did a motor swap. That's how I ended up with the Supercharger motor. The list of mods on it are extensive (built lower end, custom cams, big intercooler, EFI engine management, etc.) Anyway, the car is so out there & "built to suit", I doubt I'll ever sell it. I love the color (stone gray metallic) especially in the widebody & the supercharger puts it over the top. I just swapped the original linen interior out for black supple leather (hated the linen since the day I bought it). I have a turbo 3.6S tail to put on, some cold air intake mods & big reds going on shortly & I'll be about done.

I have Artec Turbo P Wheels, not for sale, but they might be a good option for you.

Will the Factory width 993 RS or 3.6 Turbo Speedlines fit on a narrow body 964 without fitment problems?

The 993 RS wheels are 8x18et52 and 10x18et65. From what I could find, the Turbo 3.6 Speedlines are 8x18et52 and 10x18et61.

The RH replicas can be bought in 1/2 inch width increments from 8" up. So you can get 8s and 9s with the right offset that should work no problem, but will the factory offset 10" rears have some rubbing problems?

Thanks.

The fronts will work fine. You need a 44mm rear offset to make the 10" rear wheels work so the ET65 10" will require a 21mm spacer & the ET61 will require a 17mm spacer. I run the 10s w/65mm offset on my RSA using the factory turbo spacer.

Default used turbo knockoffs?

some other rennlisters have informed me that these are not factory, I am unsure of this, since I have not taken the wheel off to look at the part numbers. I am looking at getting some fikse's and may be willing to part with these. Drop me a PM for more photos or details
