Rock chip requires windshield replacement

UPDATE - I did not avoid Safelite. For a variety of reasons (largely convenience) I ended up going to the local Safelite. They were able to obtain an OEM windshield at a cost consistent with Pelican and Suncoast. They asked me to obtain the rubber windshield gasket. I was able to order one and had it delivered within a couple days.
NOW - this is the big point - my local Safelite had one of their admittedly more skilled techs handle the job. He noticed, like many of you have confirmed, that the new gasket is about an 1/8th inch smaller than the original. SO, the guy salvaged the original, by taking his time. I was shocked. He was able to rope in the new windshield using the original gasket, and it looks good as new. So, kudos to Safelite. My advice to anyone else in this situation, go in and talk to the shop, talk to the tech. They fix thousands of Hondas and Toyotas, so many it becomes routine and boring. Find the tech who is excited to work on a rare (by comparison) 964. That tech is the one you want.
