I had about 4 minutes to do on the 15 minutes 'spirited driving' on the DME re-set when Rob called and said "I've done a bit of off roading!!". I immediateley turned round and headed back to see what had happened. My daughter and I were trying to guess what state the car would be in. We pretty much guessed Rob would be OK as he sounded fine (ish) on the phone but imagined the car would be undriveable. We got to the 'incident point' and saw Robs car in an impossible place.
I'm still amazed that the car came out as initially it looked like a crane would be required. The Porsche pliers from the toolkit made short work of the barbed wire fence and after planning the exit route the car drove out.
Unbeleivable. These cars must made from granite. I'm certain many lesser cars would be destroyed after that.

What I actually want to do is get the back out on purpose! So I am planning an advanced driving course with, probably, Don Palmer. For some reason he never answers my emails!?

Christer -I agree; that's one of the reasons why I too do track days...
Piers - I wonder if we could do a Rennlist day with Don Palmer. I've heard he's very good, and that he can handle small groups...I'd be interested...

John - you asked about my sharks fin - I did clip it back on; quite securely I thought...got to the office this morning and it has gone. Bugger. It was broken anyway, but cosmetically it was doing a good job. I guess it also protects the oil lines?...need to replace asap. Anyone got a midnight blue RHS sharks fin?!

I'm so glad to hear that all has ended so well!!!!
Would you mind picking my lottery numbers for me????
The driving looks superb and I would love to drive the same roads. Any chance of letting me know where they are?
I noticed the picture from inside John B's car that the power supply for your radar detector disappears behind the dash board. Where does it go from there? My detector is exactly the same & I dislike the wiring dangling down to the cigar lighter.
I too would be interested in the driving course.
