Default Shark fin alignment with bottom bracket

Hey,

So I just made a repair to one of the Sharks Fin plastic holders that broke of then attached it back to the car.
I tightened up the plastic nuts but when I went to put the self tapper to the lower part of the fin the holes would not align up.

Putting pressure to bring it in to alignment started to force the fin away from the body actually to the same plastic holder.
I suspect this pressure was probably what broke it off in the 1st place.

Any suggestions what could be causing this and other than drilling a new hole in to the Sharks fin I am unsure what to do.

From the picture I think you can see how far the holes are away from each other.

Thanks for your help as always.

Alex

Is it possible that the LH and RH arms got switched, or are from the Turbo?

Also check to see if it was installed backwards. I found with mine, even if the arm was installed correctly, I had to loosen the inboard mounting bolt and slide the arm around a bit to get it to line up. I left it a bit loose until the shark fin screw was attached.
Hope this helps.

Hey,

Thanks for the tip and I will check this out later.
One person suggested the same and mentioned that the hole could be slotted on the body side for adjustment.

I ping a message back once checked.

Cheers again to everyone.

Alex
