Default Oil cooler fan wiring question

I'm installing a 964 oil cooler complete with fan to update the stock trombone cooler in my 911SC. Can anyone tell me whether the fan on a 964 is supposed to run after the engine is shut off (assuming that the oil remains above temperature)? That is, should I wire the fan circuit through the ignition switch, or directly from the battery?

Thanks in advance.

Dear Paul,
No the fan should not run after you have turned the engine off. There is another fan which takes care of that in a 964.

OK, but I'm a little confused. What other fan cools the engine after it is shut off?

Rear blower fan. No point having the oil cooler fan blowing when there is no oil circulation.
