Default Touch up paint

Hi All,

Does anyone know where I could get hold onto some touch up paint, Guards Red ?
It's not for a chip as such, just where a little paint 'flecked' off my luggage compartment.

Cheers

You can get it from an OPC, but I also have a 1990 and have found that 'Flash Red' from a VW dealer is a better match to the 14 year old paint.

You could also get a spray can of Guards red at Halfords for less than a tenner - buy an empty touch up stick at the same time and fill it from the can.

Colour match is pretty much perfect and you can spray up smaller items like headlamp rings with good results.

Autovisuals is a Rennlist sponsor and makes a pretty cool pen matched to your paint code:

I ordered a couple a few weeks ago and thought the results to be pretty good!

I've also had good luck with Paintscratch.com. They can use your paint code or custom mix to match a chip.

PorscheShop are also a good source... rapid delivery too.
Just off outside to touch up the corner of my passenger door after the girlfriend opened it onto a pillar in a car park yesterday.
After my moan all she could say was "Well the paint can't be that good then!"

Ouch ! Can you get foam in Guards red ? Stick it to the outside of the door !
Ask her how she'd feel if you broke one of her nails ! Shes'll get the picture!!

good luck
