Default '88 airbox direct replacement for 964?

hi there,

was wondering if an '88 911 air box would be a direct replacement for my '90 964...

and actually all i want to do is replace the air box cover that clips on over the air filter.

going by pix they look identical.

is that true?

thanks,

Short answer-No
I thought the same thing and bought a 87 airbox. Although identical in looks, one was smaller than the other. I think the 964 box was bigger.
