Default Another short shifter thread

I know it’s still really only pre-order time, but just wondering if there has been any early adopters yet on the numeric racing shift kit. I quite like the idea that it removes the front rod and certainly seems well made and thought out.

I love the look and function of the CAE kit, but not sure if it will look out of place on my road based car. Does look amazing though.

After weighing everything up am probably looking at Rothsport black billet shifter, FD Motorsport Golden rod and front rod, and swineelven interior bits

One one of our mates did in his car. Should look good with my guards red car.

I’m currently running the FD SSK with wooden ****, anodized shifter rod, and swineeleven shifter bezel, but have preordered the Numeric kit. Let me know if interested in the FD parts.

Is that the deeper dish Momo wheel? When I got mine I didn’t realize they had two depths. I need my steering wheel closer to me and I believe the deeper dish one would be enough to get the steering wheel closer to me.

No - it’s Renown’s 100 wheel. It is a deeper dish and the position is perfect - much better than the Mod.07 in my opinion.

I did an FD SSK in my C4 so no Goldenrod but I did do a Sleepers SSK and Godlenrod in my C2. I like both and both are a huge improvement over what was in each car.

Fister SSK

Sleepers

FD Golednrod

Please give a comparison review when you get the Numeric installed. I’d really like to know how different it feels. I like the simplicity of the Numeric but I can’t quite justify the upgrade. I’ve got the exact same current config as you have.

I have a brand new factory 964 RS shifter that I am not going to be using, if anyone is looking for one.

I have the Numeric Racing Short Shift kit, can make a video for you if you like! Loving it so far. I have the longer throw as it's adjustable on the lever and it feels very close to OEM without any shifter slop. Love how it pops into gear too. The air cooled 911's always seemed to have some guessing to it as I'm not one to throw it into gear. Let me know if you have any questions to it!
