A052 Tires?
Anyone have experience with these on their 964? If so, what wheels / suspension setup are you running and what are your impressions? Looking for something a little more sticky than my PS2s / Cup2 combo for dry, warm roads.

They are a very good semislick tyre similar to Pirelli trofeo R and on a dry track they should have slightly more grip than the Cup2 but they are better suited to a car with modified suspensions and agressive camber, they will wear faster and be less forgiving on wet.
If you use the car on the street I would keep the sport cup 2 ( what do you mean by ps2/cup2 combo? different front and rear? in that case it's better not to mix them and if you would like something in between look at the pilot sport 4s )

Burning Brakes
+1 for Cup2. I have a set of Cup2, a set of 888R, a set of Nankang AR1 and an old set of Michelin Cup1 for my blue car. Suspension is Euro RS wie monoball everywhere and manual rack.
Car is just exclusively for trackdays. The 052 is quite expensive in germany and said to be a little bit faster than Cup2, but not as fast as trofeo - with nearly similar costs.
My cost/performance winner is the 888R... Was roughly 200,-/set cheaper than Cup2 this spring

Have not run Cup 2's but the A052 is in my opinion the premium high speed dry tire. As Maxi-z said they wear fast and if you plan to drive fast the suspension needs to be set up for high grip. What they are not is an all purpose tire. If the suspension is not set up with lots of camber and you push them the outside edges go quick. If the suspension is set up for high grip and you go straight (highway) or slow (around town) or redline repeatedly in a straight line they will wear on the inside. Pressure t high (especially in the rear) and the middle wears fast. So if you feel you can dial in the suspension and pressures they yes- great tire worth giving a shot for sure.
Saw some guys running them on Suzuka today on a GR of some type- full team. The tires looked like they were wearing dead even across the tread- in that case it is a very tasty tire. Personally after using them and many sets of A050 I tried the Neova a008r and found it to be quieter, better in the rain, not at all lacking grip for running hard though the hills and though I did not have the chance to try them yet on the track I think I could live with seconds slower than the 050 or the 052 in return for not having to buy 6 new tires every year... maybe. Then again the 050 at Suzuka today were feeling pretty good.
Both the 050 and the 052 run such lower pressures than most. The info I have says that 050 target pressure is 2 bar (30 psi) hot. Hard driving means I start our with 26-28 psi (front /rear.) Start even lower on the track.
