GT 2 Wing for a 993. Could be aftermarket! Not cheap if genuine.

Cheers THLI

Yes but as said it's not cheap if genuine!

If you want a sleek discreet modern looking "teatray" spoiler you should go for the 993 RS Series 1, spoiler. You can get an aftermarket one from FVD, have a look on their homepage.

Joe!!!

I suppose it had been "Zeemaxed" (poor car...) it's an english car-tuner with a somewhat er.... how could we say...somewhat special taste.

For what it's worth....

Thomas,

Thanks so much for your input....I am having difficulties getting on the site to check 993 RS Series 1 wing.

I want something tasteful yet not to large, more refined and modernized. I am not about the old school wings.

That is a GEMBALLA "GT-2-ish" conversion...a little, er, uh, over the top for me - but would look better in YELLOW!

Jeff, that's a bit much for a 964.

Consider the Supercup wing for the 964, or a 3.8RS wing...at least it's period correct.

I really like the 3.8 rs wing. Its not contoured enough around the top edge. I am kinda torn. I don't want something "gaudy" looking.

This is probably my most probable wing.

I have seen a red Supercharged 964 Carrera 4 for sale in the back of 911 & Porsche World with that GT2 wing. I would bet MA Shaw has one you can get...
But you may see that a wing like that would look better on a widebody car... My wing is quite large, and I personnally feel a widebody would even the look out...

C4TT,

I agree with the wide body look would make it look much better. Thus me wanting to go with something not so large......Pictures are so decieving.

And peoples input is much greater, especially if they have seen them already.

Check the big front splitter on the car in the first photo. If you add a big rear wing, you'll need to add something like that to the front too. Otherwise, the front end will get very light at speed.

I definately do not want my car to look any where near that one....Maybe its designed for race applications...not too sure.

I want my car to look sublte.

All of this is a matter of taste. But I'm struggling with what to advise. Do you think the first wing you posted (even without extensions) is subtle?

I am not to sure it would be subtle. It's so hard to picture because that car is so busy. I know what I would like to do to my car.

Picture this...

Lowered with H&R and blistens.
Splitter from renspeed.
Narrow body air ducts ...side skirts.
18's or 19's At italia rivas.
Clear corners.

and some sort of wing. which may be too much.

Jeff
