Default Questions on 92 964

Hello,
Can someone provide me with information on 1992 964s? Like what's fixed and not. IIRC the 92s have head gaskets installed now right? And the DMF is now a LUK piece instead of Freudenberg unit. Anything else? Yes yes... cup wheels and mirrors.

I think you need a copy of Adrians book - lists the changes by model year.

When was the plastic in-take system put into production? My '91 has it.

I have driven a 92 C2 for the past 18 months, and now have 53K total miles. So far no leaks of any type. The only failures are the notorious airbag warning lamp (still not fixed), and the spoiler controller (DIY repair of a bad transistor). I replaced the tires and shocks, and had the alignment and corner balance. The PO replaced the flywheel and the power steering pump. I have the standard 16" wheels and the aero mirrors (first used in 91 IIRC)

The change to the LUK flywheel was made in the middle of the 92 production year, so some have it and some don't. You'll have to check the engine number. Do a search for the engine cutoff number.

'92 also was first year with 4 piston caliper rear brakes.
