@Cobalt, the new black silver knit does look nice! That cashmere was looking a little grungy. Are you having your rear panels recovered? If so, by whom? Looks like I'll be investing in a heat gun to remove my carpet!

Thanks @Ski Porsche everyone that I've seen says Stefan is nice to work with. Would you happen to have any more pictures of the Monte Carlos that you could share?

It’s a good seat, comfortable, supportive, and it looks great. I don’t have a lot of seat time given other work that’s been taking much longer to get done.

Alexie--I thought there were a couple more, but this is it. Um...the seatbelts aren't this vibrant in real life.

^^ Nice belts are those from Rennline? Are they cobalt or maritime?

Be careful with the heat gun. Use a low setting and from behind only which is safe, the knit will quickly burn if you aren't careful trying to use it from the front. Also some fresh razor blades to cut the really thick stuff. There were areas they were a bit generous with the glue. I found a little dip of the razor in Xylene keeps it from gumming up the blade.

Funny you mentioned the recovering. I decided to recover the rear panel myself. It is not for the faint of heart and requires extreme patience and lots of stretching. Still work in progress but This is where I am right now. I separated the two halves and applied new vinyl on top. This came from the **** Box which started life cobalt blue and had light gray with cobalt interior. It had been dyed black at one time so I decided to work the warp out of it after stripping it down and prayed I could do it right, So far so good, When done the bottom portion, side panels and steering wheel will be will be painted with color plus 917 black to match the rest of my interior. The upper panel will remain as is. I will cover more once I have time on my 'slick top' thread. Can't wait till it is finished.

Still working out some of the waviness

I seemed to have hijacked this thread my apologies. Back to Square weave.
