Cat bypass will definitely make more HP. That sounds like music to my ears.

Cup pipe + Cat Bypass + stock primary is the way to go in my opinion.

same as my setup with the cup or drilled air box for a little extra sound at WOT. Sounds perfect.

For me a cat bypass, cup pipe, OEM secondary is the best sounding.

a third option to the poll would have been the cat bypass/cup pipe/stock secondary, but since i already have the swan neck i left it off the poll. i do see some prefer that as the best sound option. another option that sounds amazingly good in videos is stock cat/cup pipe/fister secondary. again, if i didn't have the swan neck already, i might consider the fister option. i have darin's fister IIIs on my 993 with 200 cells and the sound is unreal.

i'm torn between buying a cat bypass or a cup pipe to add to the swan neck. of course, i could buy both, determine the best sound and sell the left over piece. i'm pretty confident that a cat bypass/cup pipe/swan neck would be a bit much on this car. anyone passing their state's sniff test with the cat bypass?

Can someone provide sound clips for all these permutations?

1. Stock Cat - Stock Primary - Stock Secondary
2. Stock Cat - Cup Pipe - Stock Secondary
3. Stock Cat - Stock Primary - G Pipe (short)
4. Stock Cat - Stock Primary - Swan Neck (long) aka J Pipe
5. Stock Cat - Cup Pipe - G Pipe (short)
6. Stock Cat - Cup Pipe - Swan Neck (long)
7. Cat Bypass - Cup Pipe - Stock Secondary
8. Cat Bypass - Stock Primary - G Pipe (short)
9. Cat Bypass - Stock Primary - Swan Neck (long)
10. Cat Bypass - Cup Pipe - G Pipe (short)
11. Cat Bypass - Cup Pipe - Swan Neck (long)

I think that covers everything, just curious on the sound differences...

I’m running a cat bypass, cup pipe, and Fister secondary. It’s rowdy but I love it.

Forgot 100/200 cell cats. I can give a clip of 200 cell cat, stock primary, swan neck.

i have heard fister videos WITH a stock cat and it sounds fantastic. with a bypass, it bet it sounds angrier than my 993.

100% stock vs G-pipe only.

based on the cars i've heard and the videos i've watched, it seems the secondary muffler suppresses sound more the primary muffler. that's surprising to me. the cat bypass clearly makes for a more raucous sound with freer flow, to my ears.

i have a bypass on the way to combine with the current swan neck. will attempt a decent video once installed and comparison of stock vs bypass.
