Default DME reset

I finally got around to resetting my DME this afternoon and I'm pleased to report it seems to have had a positive effect.

I was having some minor idle issues and experiencing a slight flat spot at the crucial moment when pulling off causing me to dial in far too many revs on take off.

All in it seems much smoother and is the cheapest work I've done so far

Ok, check out how long it will hold this character. If this changes, find out why.

Good suggestion. A reset generally only masks the problem.

You were right guys the reset only lasted a day. But thanks to Adrian's book my symptoms seemed very likely to be my DME relay. New DME fitted today (old one was a 944 part number) and hey presto back to smooth running and no hesitation.

I hope it lasts!
