I know I’m late to the party. Best read there is for a 964 owner by a mile.

First ever purchase for the 964 before I bought any parts. Covers so much and a wealth of knowledge.

Absolutely phenomenal work by Adrian. It was one of his first like it. Although disregard pretty much all the info on production numbers. When he published this there was little info regarding numbers produced and he lists both C2 and C4 separately when actually you can scratch off each C4 and just use the C2 info as they are the same vin numbers he has listed twice. Also he counts all vins from 0-60 when all vin numbers start in 061. He also has the 94 turbo numbers all wrong with nearly 700 or so imported to the US when in actuality it was just 335 to the US and 15 to Canada. There are many other production numbers that are incorrect but the rest of the book has broken down most everything a 964 buyer should know.

I've always read so many reviews about this book - does it also have DIY/technical stuff to follow, or is it more like a handbook?
Just wondering what the difference is between this and say the workshop technical manual from Porsche!

If you have it then keep and use, the Porsche workshop manual - that is an invaluable information source (Porsche own torque values, fit clearances, repair/replacement/test procedures etc and so on). Streather's book is the wider information and material between models/types plus author own experiences and research. Look out too for the the Bentley publishers Technical Data small manual - very handy too.
