Questions/Queries
  • Confirming I have the right box (passenger footwell)
  • DO you have any insight as to why these 4 wires are dangling
  • Are the dangling wires the wires I am supposed to TAP into with the Remote kit?
  • Any other insights on how to wire THIS setup given this wiring

See the images below for info and contexts

In a 1990, the lock control unit is under the dash on the passenger side as you suspected. It later moved to under the passenger seat in later 964 models.

There should be no dangling wires there. Somebody has definitely played with those before but I'm not smart enough to know what is wrong.

This, and it looks like a broken footwell heat tube may have toasted the lock control unit. If it’s toasted, you can find them on EBay.
