Bridgestone S02 - low price
have found new Bridgestone S02 Potenza N3 rated in 205/55/16 and 225/50/16 at a online store called www.dackservice.nu. They cost just $160 each including delivery in Sweden. The local Porsche centre will charge $350, but would recommend Michelin Pilot instead. I prefer the S02. Could there be anything wrong with the Bridgestones like old tires or wrong country specifications. Is there any specific number or code to check.

I wouldn't imagine there would be anything to worry about in regards to a tire that's going out of production. They wouldn't sell them for liability reasons alone, if so.
I would say go for it! ...but don't have any info. regarding checking #s, except through Bridgestone.

Well, if the SO2's are going out of production (are they?), you'll be looking at buying another full (matching) set of tires when the rears wear out (about twice as fast as the front).
This happened to me once with Bridgestone RE-71s, and it looks like it's going to happen again with RE-730s. Which is what I replaced my last set of RE-71s with. I had to buy four of 'em, even though I only needed the rears (RE-71s in the front were only half worn). I can't find the 730s on the Tirerack's website, so I'm guessing they've gone out of production. Anyone know?
