Wow, he is extremely close. Need to get my fuel gauge face restored so I may give him a shot.

How do you like the reoriented tach?

Very nice.
I've been wanting to reorient my tach. And it seems that I've somehow damaged the lens (surface spiderwebbing) of the temp/fuel gauge.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did it set you back?

I’ll give credit where it’s due... bought faces for my tach and oil to redo the gauges. The print is nice and the “vdo” is a nice touch. The lighting isn’t an oem match but ok. So go all the way If you do it. I’d buy from him again!

what Ubipa said.

The cost of the replacement face was ~149 clams. I think these are currently sold out. Service to install face, replace bulb and replace a gear (preventative measure for a 1/4 century old car) was about 50 additional. Turn around time was 7 busienss days or so.

Highly recommended upgrade. I will stiill need to rotate my speedo a few degrees so i have a clear line of sight to 70mph.

Anyone know of a clean, minimalist shift light for our cars? I recall Magnus having a strip LED rev counter style light in one of his videos.

That's not bad at all! I'd actually hope he'd leave the bulbs be and just fix the faces...
Will contact him and see what he thinks.
Thanks for the recommendation!

Cory did my speedo and the turn around and quality of work was fine by me. I had the typical crackled gauge face and he installed a new one for me. The only ding I'd have is that the new speedo gauge face isn't translucent like OEM, but that's a very minor ding. I'd use Specialty Gauge again, and have recommended him to others

Hollywood Speedo quoted me $350 for a rotated tach face install. This sounds like a great deal!

I really like this but Id rather the 12 O'clock position be 6K RPM. I can see the 12 O'clock with peripheral vision. Id like to know its OK to go to that 12 O'clock without wondering if I hit RL. I dont want to have to split hairs there if Im right at a limit.
I wonder if they do that too or if you have to use this exact face. BTW, I know I can clock the gauge but Id like the 1/1000 to be level if Im going to the trouble to do it.
