Default Engine knock

Hey All,

Im hoping someone could help me in identifying a new noise. Recently I have started to notice a knocking when turning off the car when warm. It doesn't happen at any other time except shut off when the car has warmed up. Other than the new knocking sound when turning off, the car operates perfectly. The only recent changes are a secondary muffler bypass and and oil change (15w50 mobil 1).

Any help in identifying the new mystery noise before taking it in to the shop is greatly appreciated.

Movie attached

Thanks again

I don't think it's anything to be concerned about, maybe bad gas.

Thanks Helio. I figured (was hoping) it might be something like that. I've only filled it once since buying the car. Guess I will try a different gas station next time.

Valve adjustment and heavier oil fixed it on mine. Regardless there is nothing to be worried about, just a normal engine shutdown sound dependent on many factors.

Thanks!

That sound from the chain guides and the timing chain, occurs when the hydraulic chain tensioner loses oil pressure.
