Question climate control unit repair?

does anyone know a US place to have my blown ccu repaired. The 964 web forum has a link to an Italian company and there is A place in LA selling reconditioed ones for $350 and a place in Canada will attempt it for $250.

Any help appreciated.

Will attempt it?????

Why not do a Yahoo or Google search using the keywords "climate control unit"?
To "zero in" for a Porsche enter, "climate control unit" and Porsche.

Good Luck

I think the general consensus of opinion points to Otto's Venice as the premier place for CCU repair, with an average cost around $350 US:

Try doing a rennlist search for threads relating to this.

Hope this helps,

What's your experience been with Google's sponsored links? I'm in the middle of trying to figure out where to spend a very small amount of money advertising a 964/Porsche related business. The 3 Porsche magazines (Excellence, 911&PW & Panorama) seem be to very inexpensive (compared to the various computer & laser/optics magazines i've advertised in previously). I still have no idea how much Rennlist sponsorship costs HINT HINT, KNUDGE, KNUDGE. John? Jen?

Otto's did excellent work- they "upgrade" some known potential problem areas when they do the rebuild (I don't know what exactly), they have a fast turnaround, and did a great job on my CCU. Cost is dependent on what you need- guy told me around $300-350, when job was done total was $325. I strongly recommend them.
