There is a part number on the back of the caliper. Then you can determine what rotor is required.

Those appear to be 965 (C2 turbo) rotors. And in dire need of replacement. Calipers have been refinished once upon a time, color would have denoted if they were 993TT or 928S4. But they are the same caliper, red for the 993TT, black for the 928S4. You'll have an adapter as well to accommodate the larger, radially mounted calipers. Pretty standard upgrade on the 964's.

Am I also noticing that the friction area of the pad isn't using the full surface of the rotor???

You don't want what you have. What you have are the 94 MY 964 turbo 3.6 322 x32mm rotor. Your calipers are from a 91-92 MY turbo 3.3 or Cup car/rs fronts also 322 x 32mm but have less friction area. The ones you are looking for have a 4-3 hole pattern vs a 5-4 hole pattern.

I have to say those are the worst looking rotors I have ever seen. That can't be from street use and how were you allowed on track with cracks to the outer edge. I have seen them fail in better condition.

Part numbers
Left 965 351 043 00
Right 965 351 044 00
