Default link for wheel spacer

I looked and could not find this info already posted in the forums... I am looking for wheel spacers for my 1990 964 c2 cab... So I can fit new wheels and keep them from hitting the front brake caliper... I have been advised to look for 1/4 inch with the 5x130mm bolt pattern.. I have found a Trans-Dapt product which is a 1/4 inch, but its a universal adaptor and my wheel guy advised not to get a universal adapter bc they may result in shimmy....
Does anyone know a specifc product which will fit the bolt pattern exactly?
thanks, Ben

Thanks for the responses. Why would I choose a flat spacer or the hubcentric type spacer with a lip?

"Automotive applications usually use the hub centric design because the support and centering of the wheel better resists impact loads from being used on typical roads. Without the hub’s support, road impacts can deform lugs enough to where the wheel is no longer concentric with the hub, leading to vibrations. This can reduce the clamping force of the wheel to the hub."

Hubcentric are better. Thinner hubcentric spacers will not fit front without some lip mods on the hub. Rears are ok. I have some rennline on rear of mine they are nice.

Follow-on question to this. My new-to-me '72 T has the Rennline 7mm collared / pronged spacers on the front. Install paperwork from shop says "machined wheel spacers to clear the hubs as well as the mating surface on the wheels."

Car has slight shimmy at higher speeds. Tire shop checked the balancing (good), but says the (newer) Deep Six aren't right for the hub / not hub-centric, as there is play before tightening.

Aren't pre-1974 fronts lug-centric, and -- spacer or no spacer -- there is no such thing as hub centric on a pre-'74?

Would the inclusion of the spacer alter the equation as far lug-centric install?

Corrrect, the balll seat nuts will pull the wheel centre on each stud as long as you dont tighten one up all the way before fitting the other 4

https://www.techart.de/en/products/wheels/ Scroll down on page. I'm running 6mm up front and 15mm in the rear.

Thread resurrection...

Do you have some pictures of your car with those spacers fitted?

Did you use longer studs?

The spacers look interesting but they don't seem to be the easiest products to find for sale.
