I went all the way when it comes to oil lines.

- all new lines
- found NOS oilcooler
- all new hardware, every nut, bolt and rubber
- stainless clamps everywhere.
- new hoses
- new seals and gauge
- fully sanded down the tank, blasted and painted
- sanding the piping back to it’s copper state.
- ultrason the tank for 5 hours
- flush many times and inspect with camera.

Some pics to give you and idea. Don’t like to do quick amd sloppy 😊.

Stage 1.

Powdercoated but not bulky. All in the prepwork

All connecters done, sanded and polished

Ultrason to be sure all is out.

No risk here amd triple check

New seals and bolts

Thermostat and all hoses.

New one…

New oilcooler, rubbers, seals and bolts.

Did you just paint this with a spraycan or was it powdercoated?

so it was sandblasted before. Did you put it in Ultrason machine afterwards? Believe me, the sand from blasting will be in the tank. Big gamble if you ask me when you gonna put that in.

Agree. There is no filter from the tank to the engine. If anything is in the tank it will make an absolute mess of the engine.

2 things:
- when paint is only removed chemically you have not the right adherence for powdercoat paint and so once some stonechips will hit your tank, the paint might come off very quick. The strength of powdercoating lies in the fact that it is durable and does not chip off quickly when hit with something. With improper prep you loose all of this.

- A filter between tank and engine, sure, but there is more then 1 oil line leaving your tank. 🙏🏻

Yes, paint removing and painting was done by proffesional. Let see how it last. Not a problem to paint it again.

There are many lines coming/going and I have original filter and 993 style filter. Thats enough for me.
