VIN is WPOAR2966NS420147. I have located the maintenance records from the time the car was new to when I sold it circa 2014. I was moving at the time I sold the car. The records were packed away, and I discovered them only last week. No scam - check my posts. I want only shipping cost, and the book can go to the owner where it belongs. Photo dated February 2013. All paint was factory-original as of that date. Leather-bound book with all records from new until 2014 sale Page 1 Records start in September 1992, when the new-car inspection record shows 17 miles.
i contacted the 3rd owner, who participated on this forum as mnrepguy. He has re-sold the car. I asked him for contact information on the 4th owner, but so far no reply.
I am preserving these valuable documents. Still no response on who owns the car. I hope it has not joined the ranks of the dearly departed.
FYI, my circumstances have improved, and I tried to locate a nice 964 or 993. I have tools, manuals, and enough know how to DIY maintenance and most repairs. WOW! What happened to prices? More than doubled since I sold my 964 in 2016.
The 996s have taken over the unloved model since the 964 recovered from its early problems. I am buying a 996 Turbo - a raging bargain for an under-appreciated future classic.
No doubt prices have completely taken off but I’m seeing the same demand for many of the Porsche models including some of the 996. 996TT is a great car, good luck with the hunt!
