Default Opinion on Badging an Aftermarket Trunk

Hey guys, I have a 1994 Turb-Look Carrera 4. My stock trunk obvious says "Carrera 4" and that's how it will stay. I recently bought an RSR trunk/wing and was wondering how I should badge it? I am building somewhat of a clone, but really only the WB, the wing, and some e88's so it's just aesthetically. I am assuming it would be a little poser-ish to put RSR emblems or decals on the back, so what do I put on it? I am not a huge fan of leaving this one blank. I also bought a "911" from a jubilee model, but was going to put that on my ducktail whenever I buy one of those (to change up the look). Should I put the "911" on the RSR trunk?

I'm not losing sleep over this, but thought it would be great to get some opinions. Thanks.

Greg, I have been having the same dilemma for months . Though my build is a little more extensive than yours. I think your 911 is a good thought, or even just “Porsche “ in whatever script you choose. As for RSR, I guess it’s not the purist thinking so not sure how much flack you might get, but hey if you think its neat to look at, then why not.

Well, RSR is race version of RS 3.8 so how good it looks like using something like that?
I don't know but how about out of box thinking and using something own:

Custom text. I've been seeing pretty good ones here and there. Mine says "de gröna"

That's kind of a cool idea if I can think of something. How about "Verfalschen"? German for counterfeit. lol

+1 on custom text. Michael Mauer recently put "mountain tool" on the back of his rebuilt 964.

You need to do a poll! I like "C4 RS" Short and sweet, and those in the know will understand how the car has been set up.

Love your last name, inspired these random tags:

Yup... use Wolfe I would say.
Howling Wolfe

On a less serious note "Hasta la vista baby" on any vehicle makes me smile.

Well, not sure I want to put my last name on the car. I live in a small town so I don't want it to look like I am flaunting that the car is mine. I know it's just an old Porsche, but there are probably only 2 other Porsches in the town I live in.

If that is the case, then I say you are "flaunting" already.

How about

C4 RS is good, but how about RS4

I've already been thinking about this too, as my C4 is currently on a diet and being stripped out and carbon panels added, decklid / bonnet / roof.
My goal is a sort of clubsport spec, so my badging is going to be "CS4" but not decided if to use the Porsche script or place it in the RUF position using their script...
Decision decisions
