Hello all I pulled what looks to be the original flywheel off my October 5, 1990 built C4. The flywheel along with the clutch are stamped with a September 1990 build date. Based on what I read here this suggests my car has the Fruendeberg dual mass flywheel. However I also see that the ring gear is bolted on and I read suggestions that this indicates that LUK. I could not find anything definitive with regard to the part number. Can anyone assist?

Thanks Rob I hadn't seen that thread. I believe PET and the date code suggest my flywheel is the original. I don't have a way of confirming that the original is in fact a Freudenberg - does anyone have a known Freudenberg photographed or further confirmation that the part number was manufacturer specific?

Adrian’s post says “The C4 numbers are. Freudenberg 964 114 011 03 or 964 114 011 04 the LUK is 964 114 012 02” so yours would be LUK no?

I’m not sure since mine is
964.144.011.02

Which is not mentioned in Adrienns post and which PET seems to suggest is for a 1990 non C4?
