Problem downshifting to 2nd during spirited drives

Circling back, I have replaced my engine mounts (with 993 OEM mounts) and had my first spirited drive yesterday. Happy to report that the issue is gone, I have not had a single problem downshifting to second. Also, it behaves a bit better under load, it does not jiggle when I get off the throttle at high RPM. It is subtle but there's a difference and I am a happy camper.
(I am almost forgetting that I messed up my engine carrier and that it cost me a fair amount to fix)

Wow, just went and checked mine.
Both sides are super saggy.
Time to replace!

As a point of reference, at 73k miles mine weren’t leaking but they were sagging and weren’t functioning as intended. Changing them firmed up the engine movement and improve handling.
It’s safe to say unless you have a very low mileage (sub 40k miles) example you can benefit from a motor mount change, after all we are talking about rubber that is 30 years old under lots of stress and high ambient temperatures.
