Default 964 Shop manual advice

Hello all

I'm collecting books to help me dig into my new 964. Bentley is always my first stop but I'm not entirely sure I understand what their 'Technical Data" offering is as it pertains to 964.

I ordered Adrian Streather's Enthusiasts Companion but am also not clear on if that is a full on manual or something in between. Are there others I'm missing?

They are available free in pdf form - do a search and the link will come up.

Don't bother buying a set until you see a set at a reasonable price.

Get out! Another one of us close. We have a good group down here...feel free to get in touch. I'm usually under a 964 on the weekends- though of late i have been playing with a 996c4 that i bought for the winter. But fairly soon I'll be installing my intake from the "intake madness" thread unless someone decides to drop me a car to play with.

Cool - will be sure to connect at some point. Here's my car, as of Saturday. Will post a 'real' intro soon, just trying to get some meat and potatoes stuff squared away to get her on the road first.

It really is a small world. I’ve followed your GTV restoration on the AlfaBB, quite a beautiful job. I’ve got a ‘67 GTV as well as a ‘92 C2 coupe. I’m a couple hours up the road near Newport, RI. Looking forward to your 964 experience.

You can send a PDF of the Shop Manual to an online printer like Vista Print. I got 8 spiral bound manuals for $79.00 on a 1st time buy sale.

I'm one town north of Goughary probably 10 minutes away and I still haven't got down there. Shame on me.

great there are so many locals here! see we have an okay time up here don’t we? Glad you saw my GTV resto Mike... its 90% done (30% to go lol) but theres now a rather needy 912 sitting next to it full of holes and resto panels needing welded in. One day one day...

over the break Ill round up some pics of the fleet and do a propper intro. I posted one on pelican but quickly found this is where the 964 action is.

great tip - my local fedex is staffed by truly good folks i try to support but for such a massive print job online (with end of yesr deals etc) is a good idea.
