In the process of replacing my speakers and I can't work out how to remove them from the doors. The grilles are marked MB Quart and the speakers appear to have been screwed to the door frame itself as I cannot remove the door card in the usual way. I can't seem to pry off or screw off the grilles after which I'm guessing I'd be able to unscrew the speakers and then remove the door card.
Anyone have any experience with what is probably a mid 90s speaker upgrade to MB Quart?
I have similar speakers in my car. The grills fall out on occasion lol. Take paper clip or something similar and slide it in the mesh to pull the grill off. There will be some screws behind it that you then remove to get the speaker out.

You're a champ. Came out quite easily once I got a grip on the edge of the grill. Cheers mate.
Those are very high quality speakers. There should be a crossover and tweeter in the car as well. These and ADS speakers were king in the 90's. I used to be a hi-fi audio installer in the 90's.

It certainly looks like an aftermarket upgrade with high quality wiring and the larger crossover moved to inside the door.
I have MB Quart speakers in my car too. The grills would occasionally pop off. I put a dab of rubber cement at the top at bottom on the grills and then pressed them into place. They have held in position for several years. The rubber cement is easily removed and doesn't permanently weld the unit together.
Were these speakers ever a factory option or just a common upgrade for the time? Turns out it is my tweeter that is knackered so might put these back in as they look fine.
