Default 964 C2 clutch problem - help please

I went to take my car out of the garage after 3 weeks of non-use. Started no problem (I had disconnected the battery to avoid voltage drain). However, the clutch pedal was almost on the floor - no more than an inch of travel available. Impossible to engage a gear. I pumped the pedal (as much as I could given the limited travel available) many times, but no change.

Can anyone think of a way to get the car mobile to drive the 2 miles to my mechanic?

If flat bedding the car to the mechanic is not an option, have you considered, putting the car in 2nd gear with the engine off, then with the hand brake off, start the car. It will lurch as it cranks, but once the car is running you can stay in 2nd to the mechanic. If you have to stop, turn off the key. I had to drive a VW Bug about 20 miles after its clutch cable broke. With careful planning, it worked.
