Default gas tank weeping?

Hi all, with the exception of the gas line that runs from the tank to the engine, I recently replaced all of the gas related hoses. Cut the smell down inside the cab by at least 90% My next project was replacing the lh HVAC fan in the front on the drivers side. To do that I had to take the expansion tank off again and when I did that I found a small gas leak, more like a weep, where the tank connects to one of the hoses (one that goes to the filler tube - see pic). I checked the tightness of the hose clamp and it seemed ok. Has anyone else has this problem? to fix this I can tighten the clamp more, but then I'd have to take the tank off again to see if that stopped the weeping OR I could tighten the hose clamp and put down some type of sealer on/around the gas tank connection, not the hose. I'd like to get some opinions if this is a good idea and, if so, what type of sealer will hold up to gas?

thanks much!

Seeing how it is at the top of the tank and is a vent
I can’t see any reason why you couldn’t use some type of epoxy sealant on it. It’s been quite a while so I don’t remember the brand but there are two part sealant the are gas resistant
