yes. it has an alarm. So it must have the switch. I assume unplugging the switch will be the test to see if its bad.

Use a multimeter and test for continuity while the hood is open. There should be a small round plug just beneath the switch you unplug. Sometimes they can be sporadic or it is just bad.
