Default Tiptronic will not engage

Hi,

Posting for a friend. He had the engine removed together with the gearbox to have the engine overhauled. Tiptronic worked fine before removing... assembled everything as it was but the gearbox won’t engage whatsoever. Replaced all fluids including the ATF.... Culprit? 🤔

Thank you 🙏

Make sure the two electrical connections are engaged properly and the cable is installed and indexed correctly all are on the left side of the case near the trans cooler lines

I also would wonder if the pump was engaged properly with the slots on the torque converter

Great. We’ll have a go at both suggestions.
Thanks

I think an easy way to maybe tell if the pump is engaged is to get the rear end up far enough to be able to see the fluid level and watch to see if it drops when the trans is put in drive. It should lower as the pump operates and moves fluid. With the under carriage covers off you can see the level gauge or tube from just in front of passenger side rear tire the tire should be turning also if you drained the torque converter it still might not have enough fluid in it
