Default 993 Coil Ends Not Fitting

I swapped 993 coils into my car and on the test drive it starts to miss badly. No issues before with the stock coils. I pulled the leads off the coils and noticed white dust and evidence of arcing. Looks like I might not have the correct ends? Is this a common problem? Part I ordered was BERU VSO103 Resistor Plug

If that connector is what you are using on the coil side yes it is incorrect, what you have pictured looks like its more for the distributor cap side of the coil wires.
993 602 557 01 is correct for the coil side connector. Sorry I do not have a Beru number

https://www.rmeuropean.com/Products/...701-MFG47.aspx

So that’s the part I ordered, and it’s the same as what’s on my distributor cap, and it’s the same Porsche part number 928-602 557 01, BERU VSO 103. Maybe I need the 928 602 557 00? Usually the 01 is an updated version of the 00. Maybe not in this case?

Here is thee 00 on Pelican and it looks different.

I don't have the link or page in front of me, but for the coil side you need to call kingsborne and order the correct coil end for the 993 coils.

Somewhere in the suspension madness thread we did a writeup on the 993 coil swap and i shot a pic of the correct plug end and put the part number in there as well...I'm not near a computer at the moment. If you have trouble finding it, pm me and I'll help.

How convenient is that.....Kingsborne is 15min from my house. Below are the pics from the Suspension Madness thread. I am going to investigate the Bremi 13210/1B end as well as call Kingsborne and see if they can send me one ASAP. Thanks!!

Does this 993 602 557 01 screw onto the stock wire or does it crimp? The part that Kingsborne sells is crimp on. Local dealer wants $31 each, 5$ more than list for the connectors. Kingsborne wanted $45 shipped for the two complete wires. Easy choice.

Take a look at my build thread. You need to change the ends to use the 993 coils.

I did order new ends assuming the OE manufacturers catalog was correct. If you look at the cross reference from Beru, it says the VSO103 is a cross reference for both the 92860255701 AND the 99360255701. After reading this I ordered (2) of the VSO103 parts for $12 total instead of $60 total. Turns out the Beru catalog is incorrect and the VSO103 IS NOT a cross reference for the 99360255701 after all.

Good timing. I am currently acquiring all the parts to update/replace my ignition system. These are the last pieces I need. Are the Beru connectors, VESO 134 (or Bremi 13552A1)? What’s odd is the Beru datasheet doesn’t show Porsche.

I believe the correct Bremi number is 13257/1 or 13256/1 from their catalog. I am not 100% sure. They both have the M3 screw on end where it meets the wire. Not sure which connection the 993 coil is.

Ok I got it, that is weird. Looking back at my records,
These are the parts I ordered, I ordered Porsche factory for this, so can't speak to OEM...
I do buy a lot of OEM and 99.9% of the time the parts are fine and same as porsche, guess this is that .1%!
99360207101, 99360280100, 92860255700

I'm not sure difference in 92860255700 vs 92860255701

Ahh. Thanks for the insight

The Beru catalog for the 993 describes the coil connection as a saw tooth. So maybe 13257/1 then?

It looks like the Beru VSO 103 is a SAE connection...

http://www.w124performance.com/docs/...ctors_TI05.pdf

So, would the Beru VESO 120 be the correct one? If so, both Beru and Bremi connectors seem hard to source! Ugh...I’ve spent enough on this one
