intake air temperature sensor location

My 964 thru a 25 fault code, which is the intake air temperature sensor. I have looked in the 964 katalog and can find two possibilities, the MAF and the air temp sensor located in the engine blower duct. I've also looked through the posts here on rennlist, with no success. The problem seems to be that I can't find the exact wording "intake air temperature sensor." Where is this guy?

thanks for the info. Unfortunately I read the code wrong; its 15 "idle speed contact break." I'll start a new thread with the correct code.

No idea on the other but you are correct the ICV is the silver thing top middle of the engine pretty easy to take out and clean

Great feedback guys. I'm going to forward them all to my mechanic as I have sadly come to the conclusion that I'll have no time left to work on this issue. I have total hip replacement surgery scheduled for January 4. The other very depressing thing for me is that my 71 year old skin has gotten so thin that I bleed after just barely hitting an object. Happened twice when I was inspecting the ISV. And, I just entered semi retirement and was sooo looking forward to working on my car... Sigh

I'll update this thread once the issue is resolved to let ya'll know the solution. Thanks for your time.
