Hi Greg

No idea re filter. I have the original setup too, which I may replace. I'm not a big fan of oily filters...

See you at CC (bring your cameras!)

Garrett...yes, that is my car - I didn't write the description though!

Just for you Rob...I managed to find some photos from last June (the car is a bit cleaner in the summer...) - gratuitous I know but you did ask.... This was from a drive with 'Dave K' (GP White) and the now (temporarily hopefully!) departed Riccardo (black):

Nice! Thanks for posting those. I'm one of those who likes both guards red & white, and flag mirrors! (despite having a blue car with teardrops)

What, like in a check pattern? Have you no taste man?

Those pictures make me look forward to summer. We really have to make sure we get a large meet set up!

BTW, it made me think when you said that 'we have never seen pictures of your car on here'. I have been here a long time haven't I? It will be 3 years in August....bugger.

Ian

Rob not only has the same wheels as me, but also the same steering wheel. As I remember, the wheel should come with a hub and what I can only describe as a 'spacer' which brings the wheel a little closer which I personally like. It was quite easy to fit, although it did take me 2 attempts to get it straight. Well, 99% straight....

Edit: it is some time ago now, so memory might be slightly clouded by the mists of time. It COULD be that what I describe as a 'spacer' is in fact the hub that you refer to....

Rob,

Congrats on the car! Very beautiful.

Don't switch back to Cup 1s too quickly. Mine has the turbo twists too, and I thought I would go back to Cup 1s at some point. I may still do that, but the turbo twists have really grown on me. It gives the car a more modern look, and I like the quick response of the 18s.

Christer, the twists look very good -- are they Porsche, or?? And I'm glad to see someone with respect for tradition; the flag mirror is classy. J

Ian - I'm sure the genuine one will fit. Mine has a quick release hub which was supplied seperately to the wheel.

Joe, they are Porsche OEM. No cheap and heavy Mille Miglias for me...!!

Summer meet is essential I think. You're right about those photos. Good job I sold the cab in the winter - I don't think I'd have parted with it in the summer...

Funny, I always thought your car was white for some reason, Christer. Red's much nicer. Shame we can't see the seats though
