964 C4 fan a/c alt belt replacement and install
My fan belt recently broke off , so I decided to take everything out in order to go ahead and replace all the belts. The 2nd Belt is hard to install, so can someone help me and tell me the other of how the parts are install and how do you get that 24mm nut to screw in while pushing on the pulley and belt in between?
I have 1/2 pulley 4 shims, belt and the other half pulley.
Do I put 1 shim on each side on the half pulley , meaning shim, half pulley , shim, belt, shim, half pulley , shim , metal piece and 24 mm nut?
I hope you guys can help me out .

To tighten the 24mm nut, you need to hold the alternator shaft stationary with a 10mm triple square wrench. You should have one in your factory tool kit. As for the sequence, its shown in PET on page 105-00.
You add/remove shims to adjust the tightness of the belts. Fewer shims tightens the belt.
If you need PET, you can download it for free from Porsche. https://www.porsche.com/usa/accessor...artscatalogue/
