Default Transmission mount

Installed the FD motorsport transmission mount yesterday along with the golden shift rod. I like the feel of the shift rod, but I don't know If I can live with the mount. any one install this and If so does it get better with time? you hear everything with this mount. makes me think the transmission is coming apart.

Yeah i have FD trans mount. First few days after install i thought something may have gone wrong. I drove back to the shop and was told the mount gives some clutch chatter and everything was fine. It doesnt get better. I just learned to live with it.

Just to be clear. C2 or C4 trans mount?

C2: https://fdmotorsports.net/shop?olsPa...sion-mount-993

C4: https://fdmotorsports.net/shop?olsPa...sion-mount-993

I have the Function First Trans mount, which is a insert that supports the OEM transmission mount. I've installed it on two 964s (that my family rides in weekly) and love it.
Perfect combo with stiffer engine mounts. Everything feels solid, but not harsh. (no affiliation)

Yes. The FD semi solid transmission mount is not a cruiser setup for sure. You hear gear whines and its loud with windows up. 2nd, 3rd and 5th gear is not easy to live with in my 3TT. Only 4th and 6th is quiet..

Function first is the preferred setup IMHO. You may get used to the setup and feel it is not as loud?

I went with FVD. Very happy with it in combo with factory RS mounts. Crisp shifting.

I read good things about the orange function first tranny mount. I should have the car back soon, so I'll give my feedback on how the car feels.
