Clicking through the link you provided it seems that with EURO2 it is possible to get the permission?
When I bought my 91 C4 in 2004, I asked Porsche AG for a certificate for re-classification to EURO2 and that was no issue. Was accepted by the German vehicle registration authority and papers changed accordingly.

Thx
That's interesting.
Would you have a copy of the doc sent by Porsche ? ( MP is you prefer )
What argument did you provide ?
I could ask to Porsche in France but would like to be sure what to ask exactly
if they did it once, i assume that they can do it again

Attached please find the document from Porsche. Should be also available at Porsche Centers.
It states that vehicles with the model codes in the left column are classified as Euro2.

Yes, it was changed to EURO2 in the papers based on the document I posted above. The registration authority also put in a remark on the second page stating that the vehicle is rated EURO2 as of first day of registration ("ab Tag der 1. Zulassung").
Maybe there are different country versions and not all of them fulfill the EURO2 requirements. Did you check with the model codes in the document? Mine is coded 418 012 7 as marked in the document.

many thanks @uli1266
I cannot find the code on my french certificate, nor on a doc given by Porsche.
did you get an updated certificate with euro2 from Porsche AG to make your zulassungsbescheinigung changed ?
or the Germany authorities delivered the new one with the doc initially joined ?

I wonder if US cars were different? My 1990 C4 was supplied originally in Germany and is Euro 2.

Maybe those codes are only relevant in Germany.
I found an application form in the net for this, see attachement. But they ask for the German registration and also for 130€... Maybe you should write to Porsche in Germany directly to find out if this process is also possible for cars registered in France.
Good Luck

However , I checked the french certificat for my first 964 (a german one imported in France) , and I do not have any Euro2 mention
Us and Euro 964 are globally the same , at least , engine wise.
I resend a mail to Porsche France, as in Europe, what is accepted for a country should be for another one belonging to Europe.
